What happens at a Naturopathy consult?
Initial naturopathy appointment:
Your initial naturopathy appointment will take approximately 1.5hrs. During this time, we will explore your current health situation, previous illnesses you may have suffered, lifestyle, diet, any blood tests or other testing you may have had done recently and what supplements and medication you are currently taking. Then I will perform some basic diagnostics such as blood pressure, iridology, and look at your nail health before we begin discussing the best way forward.
The treatments prescribed will depend on the issues at hand. Please note that herbal tinctures, flower essences and supplements may sometimes be prescribed at the initial appointment, however, that is not always the case. Often we can make large changes to our health by looking at diet and lifestyle first and other stress relieving coping mechanisms.
Return naturopathy appointment
This appointment is just as important as the first. Here we will be able to see what has worked since the initial appointment and any new symptoms that have come to light. This appointment is usually an hour and will give us a good idea of how quickly your body is adapting to the changes we have made and then we can discern a suitable way forward with treatment.
Initial naturopathy child appointment
Very similar to the adult appointment, yet less time as children don't want to be sitting around talking about their health for longer than an hour!
Acute consult online
This appointment is for those who have seen me previously in clinic. A great option when you have a few questions about your health , diet or supplements you are taking. Appointments can be a phone call or consult over Skype or Zoom. They are 30 minutes so perfect for on your lunch break at work, if you are interstate, or at home with the kids.
Flower essence consult
Flower essences are fantastic for adults, children and even our pets. They can be made in drops you place under your tongue or in a spray bottle as a body/room spray. Flower essence consults can be done in the clinic or over the phone. If flower essences are prescribed as part of your naturopathy consult, you just pay for the essence.
15 minute discovery call
These calls are designed for those of you who are unsure if seeing a naturopath is the right choice for your current health needs. It's also a good way for us to get to know each other and see if we are the right fit. Yes, there are times when I refer clients to other practitioners who I believe may be more suitable for them.
